Description: Shalder is the Shetland word for oystercatcher. This delightful fisherman's cottage was completely upgraded and restored in 2006. It can comfortably accommodate up to eight people. Whilst retaining a traditional feel it offers all of the comfort of modern day living including newly fitted bathroom and showers; superb vaulted ceilings with exposed beams to the first floor; gas central heating; fully fitted family dining kitchen. Location: Situated in the tranquil fishing village of Portknockie on the stunning Moray coast, Shalder Cottage, built in 1900 is located in the old part of the cliff top village. Experience miles of unspoilt beaches, wonderful sunsets and some of the best fresh local seafood. And if you are lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of the dolphins as they pass by. Shalder Cottage is the perfect place for a rural retreat or an ideal location for a more active holiday. |
