Description: Although it is over 200 years old the cottage has been refurbished to a high standard and well maintained inside and outside especially our landscaped gardens which are well kept. Location: Clyde Cottage is a 200 year old cottage which sits high on the Stronmilichan back Road of Dalmally. It is surrounded by fantastic views looking down towards Lochawe with Kilchurn Castle in its sight. The cottage was said to be built with the stone from Kilchurn Castle which now sits in ruins. Dalmally offers a golf course (9 holes) to which everyone is welcome. There is a local train station which offers access to the West of Scotland, Oban, Fort William and Glasgow; why not leave the car and hop on a train for the day? If you like fishing then there are great local lochs to fish on (Lochawe stores sell fishing passes) or if it\'s walking/hillwalking then Ben Cruachan is within viewing distance and easy to get to. Go and visit the Hollow mountain 6 miles down the road - here a water power station sits deep within the mountain of Ben Cruachan. |
