Description: There are three holiday letting cottages with open plan living areas, two 2-bedroomed have a shower and the one 1-bedroomed has a bath with shower over. Each has it’s own garden. All of the properties retain a number of character features including vaulted ceilings, areas of exposed stonework, open truss beamwork, farmhouse style kitchens and handmade windows. Externally the property has a large parking and turning area. The owner’s house and holiday cottages lie nestled in a southerly facing hillside within 2 acres of grounds. Water supply is by a 150’ deep bore-hole, and is certified as pure. The main house and the and Rosemary cottage were converted in 2000. The two 2-bedroomed cottages, Thyme and Lavender were converted in 2005. There is no extra charge for heating or electricity. We will provide bed linen and 1 bath and hand towel per bedroom. Location: The property lies on the outskirts of the charming hamlet of Draynes, which is approximately 10 miles north of Looe and 10 miles south east of Bodmin. The surrounding countryside is amongst some of the most attractive in the county and is scattered with an array of interesting historical sights including the nearby King Donierts Stone, Trethevy Quoit and a number of medieval settlements. For those with an interest in walking the nearby Golitha Falls offer several miles of woodland walks adjoining the River Fowey. Water sports enthusiasts are also well catered for at Sibleyback Lake. Nearby villages cater for most day to day needs with a selection of general stores and public houses. For those seeking a more comprehensive selection the market town of Liskeard offers a choice of national retailers. The city of Plymouth is approximately 20 miles to the east. |
