Description: Longstones is a sympathetically renovated 16th century dwelling whose huge inglenook fireplace and cloam oven have been carefully preserved, along with a wealth of timbers and slate of the period. The house is of stone and slate construction, under a slate roof and stands in its own grounds overlooking a wooded valley about a mile from the sea, at Crackington Haven. Protected by rugged cliffs and incredible scenery, the sheltered Haven offers safe swimming and spectacular surf. Longstones has central heating and is double glazed. We are open all year and make an ideal base from which to explore Cornwall. This property sleeps up to 8. Ground Floor: Entrance hall with Delabole slate floor, large lounge with exposed beams, Inglenook fireplace with woodburner and colour TV with DVD and VCR, leading to Lounge annexe with snooker table. Turn right and immediately left to Crackington Haven. At Higher Crackington turn right and then fork left. Longstones 200 yards on left. |
