Description: Vitalise is a national charity providing essential breaks for disabled and visually impaired people and their carers. Through five UK Centres, including one in Cornwall, Vitalise is able to offer choice, flexibility and an enjoyable environment in which to take a well-earned rest. Within the grounds of our Centre Churchtown, in Cornwall there are two modern purpose-built self-catering lodges, which are available for bookings 11 months of the year. These are ideal for disabled guests who wish to take a break away with family or friends and visit the stunning Cornish countryside at any time of year. Each lodge sleeps six people (or eight, if put-up beds are used), has full wheelchair access and is furnished to a high standard. There is a fully equipped kitchen, diner and lounge. One of the bedrooms has a motorised ceiling hoist and an en-suite bathroom with a roll-in shower. Both lodges have covered verandas with seating areas - perfect for alfresco dining! Location: Located in the beautiful village of Lanlivery, near Bodmin, Churchtown is easy to get to, with excellent transport links, and provides a gateway to the many attractions of Cornwall. Close to the Eden Project, Lanhydrock House (National Trust), Lostwithiel Golf Club, the Cornish coast and the delightful working port of Fowey, Churchtown has a lot to offer. Guests staying in the lodges may use the Centre's indoor heated pool but no supervision, excursions, or activities are included in the price of these breaks. The lodges are self-catering and no meals will be provided by the Centre. A security deposit of £100 against damage is payable on arrival, and is refunded on departure. |
