Description: MILLGILLHEAD

The porch at Millgillhead leads to a dining room with seating for ten. The kitchen has a large range cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and lots of storage space. There is a utility room next with washing machine, tumble drier and additional fridge. The sitting room is beautiful with an open fire and comfortable sofas and chairs to seat ten. Coal and firewood are provided to create the perfect atmosphere. There are a variety of board games for entertainment, as well as a widescreen TV with DVD and video player. There a five bedrooms, three twins (one of which is downstairs) and two doubles. Please note that one twin bedroom is accessed via the second double bedroom. There are two bathrooms. The grounds cover an acre and command views of the Lake District fells and mountains. There is a large garden to the back of the house as well as a lawned area with a stream to the front of the house. The house is heated by gas central heating. One pet is welcome.

CROFT HOUSE

A spacious hallway leads to two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom and two bathrooms. Upstairs is a further double bedroom and an additional twin bedroom plus a third bathroom. The kitchen is also upstairs - it is fully furnished with a large range cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and plenty of storage space. There is also a laundry room in one of the garages with washing machine, tumble drier, iron and ironing board. Upstairs the sitting room is large with a dining area to seat ten in style. There are a variety of board games for entertainment, as well as a widescreen TV with DVD and video player. The garden is large with a big chestnut tree to provide some shade in the summer and conkers in the Autumn. There is also a secret garden which opens out to a hidden barbeque area over one of the bridges across the stream. There are many small nooks and crannies and plenty of outdoor furniture to help you enjoy the beauty of it all. The house is heated by gas central heating. One pet is welcome.

ROSE COTTAGE

Rose Cottage is a lovely cottage that sleeps four in one double bedroom and one twin. It is currently being refurbished in time for the May Bank Holiday...internal photos to follow. Downstairs in the cottage is an open plan kitchen and living room area - the two areas are separated by stairs leading to the bedrooms (one double and one twin). The bathroom is downstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and plenty of storage space. The sitting room is warm and comfortable with an open fire, widescreen TV with video and DVD player. There are also a variety of board games provided. The house is heated by gas central heating which is included in the price. Pets are welcome although this is limited to one dog only (except by prior permission) - we ask that dogs are not let into the bedrooms at all, or on any furniture. Dogs must not be left alone in the house.

Location: Lamplugh is the perfect starting place to explore the Lake District. There are a variety of walks right from the front door, or Loweswater Lake is just four miles away, with Buttermere and Crummock just a mile or two beyond. In the opposite direction is Ennerdale Lake with its forest walks and mountain biking trails. Seven miles away is Cockermouth, the birthplace of William Wordsworth. William Wordsworth's home is worth a visit, as is Jennings Brewery and Museum. There are plenty of antique shops and cafes, including Merienda which holds the occasional Jazz evening. There are a variety of pubs and smaller shops (butchers, bakers etc) as well as a Sainsburys.
