Broad Ing Cottage

Description: Broad Ing Cottage is part of a barn conversion of five properties in a courtyard setting. It is deceptively spacious with rooms overlooking the pleasant rear garden and open fields. Being very private and peaceful it is perfect for a relaxing break. The cottage is equipped to a very high standard and comprises of - large lounge with wood burning stove and overlooks the garden and fields; large kitchen/diner with range of built-in units and overlooks the garden and fields; two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom all with fitted wardrobes; house bathroom with large shower cubicle, bath, basin, shaver point and WC; shower room with basin, shower and WC; utility room which houses the oil fired central heating boiler and provides a drying area. The cottage facilities consist of - TV, video, DVD, music system, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, two fridges, freezer, microwave, electric oven and hob, travel cot and high chair. All bedrooms and kitchen have TV's and CD radios. All rooms are on one level. Included in the price are - bedding (duvets and pillows are hypo-allergic), bed linen, towels, heating and electric. There is courtyard parking for 3/4 cars. Broad Ing Cottage is strictly non-smoking and no pets are allowed.

Location: Broad Ing Cottage is situated on the fringe of the village of Tirril, which nestles on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Ullswater Lake with its’ spectacular views is just two miles away, making the cottage ideally situated for walking and sailing. The market town of Penrith is only three miles away with all the necessary amenities. The village of Pooley Bridge is two miles away, its’ local shop sells newspapers and fresh baked bread and also has a post office. Tirril boasts a traditional village pub which serves both bar and restaurant food, and has a welcoming log fire. Local activities and interests include - walking, sailing, fishing, lake steamers, pony trekking, golf, swimming, health spa, bird of prey centre, ostrich world, alpaca centre, heritage sites, historic houses and castles, museums, galleries, gardens, theatre, cinema, farmers markets, local crafts, pottery and jewellery, and the Rheged visitor centre. Broad Ing Cottage is a ten minute drive from both junction 40 on the M6, and the A1 and A66 at Penrith.
