Description: Huddlestone Cottage and The Hayloft are the perfect starting place for exploring the Lake District fells and lakes from Keswick to Eskdale. Relax in our luxurious, exceptionally clean cottages. Huddlestone Cottage has a spacious open plan living, dining and kitchen area with a log fire. There is a downstairs toilet and shower room and an upstairs second full bathroom equipped with a corner bath. Two double bedrooms provide a king size bed and a twin bedded room to sleep four people. The Hayloft has its own private entrance door with stairway leading to a large open plan living room. The bedroom has a double bed and a separate bathroom provides a bath with a power shower over and a toilet. French doors look out directly to the gardens. The cottages have exposed stone walls and lofted ceilings and are equipped with fridge, freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, widescreen TV, Freeview, DVD/CD player, radio, electric and central heating included, linen, blankets, duvets and towels. Location: Occupies a peaceful rural hamlet, within the Lake District National Park, two miles from the pleasant market town of Cockermouth and ten miles from both Keswick and the Solway Coast with it's long sandy beaches and bracing walks. Guests are free to enjoy the two acre gardens with lawns, woodland glade, secluded picnic areas, delightful kitchen/flower garden and herb garden. There are three barbecues and numerous benches and picnic tables throughout the garden and there is a shaded copse if it gets too warm. There are stunning views from the garden towards Skiddaw in the South East and Grassmoor in the South West. Situated on the Allerdale Ramble and Coast to Coast walk. |
