Description: The Orchard is a very early C18 thatched cottage, detached, and comfortably furnished. The ground floor consists of entrance hall, a very spacious sitting room with beams and large inglenook fireplace (logs provided) with original bread oven in wall. Doors lead onto the terrace and garden. Off the hall is the bathroom and a dining room (also opening onto the terrace), which leads to the kitchen. There is a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, electric cooker plus wall oven - a stable type door opens to the garden. Upstairs there is a large landing with room to sleep extra if needed. There are three bedrooms, sleeping 6 - 1 double, 1 twin and 1 with bunk beds. Cot and high chair provided Heating is via storage heaters in the hall and on the landing, the log fire, and electric heaters if needed. Lighting and heating is included in the price, as is all bed linen and duvets, but not towels. TV, video and DVD player. Location: The front door opens to the (very quiet) village street. Loders is in a Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and. has attractive C18 stone cottages, a manor house and ancient church. The cottage is approx. 100yds from The Loders Arms - very welcoming with open fire, a garden, and good food. There are other pubs with excellent food in neighbouring villages. Loders is about 2mls inland and there is a great variety of walks - both coastal and pub centred - maps etc. are provided, along with a range of brochures for stately homes, places of interest to visit etc. |
