Description: Chill out in style at Amisfield! This fabulous, recently renovated, spacious family house is situated in beautiful countryside with sea and rural views. Two miles from the sleepy, picturesque, fishing village of Port William, Amisfield provides the ultimate setting for a relaxing holiday. Set in its own grounds, accommodation comprises of: large entrance hall with payphone, spacious lounge with leather sofas and sofa bed, coal fire, well stocked bookcase, satellite TV and video, dining area; the kitchen is fully fitted with integrated dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier and fridge freezer. There is also a cooker with gas hob and electric oven as well as a microwave. Off the kitchen is a sun room overlooking the sea and rolling countryside. The family bathroom has a bath and separate shower. The double bedroom has a king size bed and en-suite shower-room. Two twin rooms are also well equipped and each bedroom has a TV/DVD and satellite link. Location: Port William village is a half hour drive from the port of Stranraer and a twenty minute drive from the market town of Newton Stewart. As Port William is set in the Gulf Stream it enjoys a milder climate compared with other Scottish locations. A haven for fishing, golfing, walking, bird watching and cycling, clay pigeon shooting, paintballing, army tank driving and off road driving are also within easy reach. Many gardens open to the public are a short drive away, including the famous Logan Botanic Gardens. Port William has it's own clean, safe beach and there are several other beautiful, quiet beaches within a ten minute drive. Port William is only ten minutes from Wigtown, Scotland's National Booktown and again ten minutes from Whithorn, the birthplace of Christianity in Scotland. This beautiful part of the world is becoming less of a well kept secret as people discover it to be the ideal place to step back in time and enjoy quality time at a much slower pace of life. |
