Description: Glen Auchie is a traditional stone cottage and is situated on the road to the Mull of Galloway. It has spectacular views to the sea, Mull of Galloway and Isle of Man on clear day also views of the countryside with its abundance of birds and wildlife. Ideal for Walkers, Cyclist, bird watching, wildlife, sandy/rocky beaches, fishing, sea fishing, sightseeing trips by boat around the Mull of Galloway to Port Logan and to the Isle of Man on good days. There is lots of beautiful gardends in the area, Logan Botanic Gardens, Logan House, Ardwell Gardens, Glenwhan, Castle Kennedy and Dunskey, Portpatrick all to explore all within a short distance of the cottage. There is a great shop and post office, garage in the village catering for your every need. There is also plenty of excellent eating places in Drummore, Port Logan and Sandhead. At the Mull of Galloway we have an excellent grass turfed restaurant with mouthwatering baking and meals. The 'Gaillie Craig' is become a popular venue for full wedding and reception. Climb the 115 steps to the top of the lighthouse and on a clear day you can see Ireland, England and Isle of Man. Excellent area for fishing also sea fishing with local charter fishing - 'Onyer Marks' - great day out. Horse riding treks and also lessons at Terally, just outside Drummore. Feed the fish or hold a starfish at the amazing Logan Fish Pond. Visit Portlogan and Portlogan Inn where '2000 Acres of Sky' was filmed. 'Glen Auchie' was the last thatched cottage in the south rhins before renovation and dates back to 1850, we have just recently refurbished it to a high and comfortable standard. You will not be disappointed. It is a warm, country cottage with outstanding views. It is set in half acre of mature garden, with a concrete and gravel parking area for cars and also ample room for a boat. There is also a lockable shed for your cycles, walking gear, fishing tackle etc. The Cottage has two bedrooms, one double room and one twin room with extra pull out bed if required. We also have a cot and highchair if required. The kitchen has everything you would need including Fridge, Freezer, Microwave, Electric Cooker, Health Grill. The kitchen has also table and chairs in it. We have loads of tourist information in the cottage along with Menu's from local eating places. Drummore has also got a Doctor's surgery. Two Churches, Bowling Green and Playpark. There is loads of walks or for the less energetic sit back in the beautiful garden which is secured by fence and gates for children to play in so that you have peace of mind. From the conservatory there are patio doors leading to a secluded patio area ideal for barbecue's or just to sit back and put your feet up and relax.

Location: The Cottage is situated 2 miles from Drummore on the Mull Road, when you reach Drummore follow the signs for the Mull of Galloway until you reach the Mull of Galloway 3 mile sign, keep going down this road and 'Glen Auchie' is the first cottage on the right hand side. Come to our house when you arrive and I will take you down to the cottage, when you approach the 3 mile sign you turn right along the Cairngaan Road, short distance and our Bed and Breakfast - East Muntloch Croft - is on the right hand side, it is only about 200 metres from the cottage.
