Description: "The Residence" is a charming self-contained ground floor studio apartment in the heart of Elie. The beach is a 2 minute walk away. This Victorian flat, with its own front door, has been lovingly renovated to the very highest standard. It contains everything you will need for a very comfortable holiday. There is underfloor heating throughout, which is cosy and welcoming. The bespoke kitchen is fully stocked with fridge, washer dryer, microwave, electric oven and 4-ring hob. The sitting room/bedroom is spacious and bright with a pretty window seat, a fabulous log-burning stove and a very comfy sofa-bed!. It has a flat-screen TV with digital freeview and a DVD/CD player. The shower room is lovely and fresh with a heated towel rail and complimentary dressing robes and towels for use during your stay. Bed linen included. Location: Elie is situated within the East Neuk of Fife, and is 12 miles from St Andrews, the home of golf. In contrast to the other East Neuk Villages, Elie stands on a sweeping bay with beautiful golden sands. Elie Harbour beach is popular with watersports enthusiasts, holiday makers and even cricketers, who play on the sands during the summer months. The Fife coastal tourist route runs through Elie as does the Kingdom of Fife Millenium Cycleways Network. For those who have a great sense of adventure, the Elie Chainwalk is not to be missed! This consists of a series of carved steps accompanied by vertical and horizontal chains allowing access to the cliffs, several caves and other coastal features including columnar basalt. Elie has a 9-hole and 18-hole golf-course, a full range of watersports, tennis courts, bowling green, tea-rooms, restaurants and pubs. There is also a deli, post office, bank and newsagents. The perfect place to explore or just relax and enjoy. |
