Description: Detached and set on the hillside, the cottage is a wonderful retreat surrounded by mature gardens on various levels from which to absorb the glorious views which are far reaching and take in the River Severn. There are three double bedrooms (one en-suite), one single and the beautiful galleried room has a double sofa bed which can be used as another bedroom if required. The lounge features comfy sofas, a widescreen TV with DVD and video. The sitting room features the original flagstones and further entertainment (TV, DVD, Video, Music centre). There is dining for nine in the dining room which boasts inglenook fireplace, beams and flagstone floors. The kitchen is fully equipped with a range cooker, dishwasher, fridge and microwave all under a vaulted ceiling. The kitchen door opens onto the garden. The utility room has an additional fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also a large shower room. In the garden you will discover a heavenly 6-seater hot tub and the barn which houses the pool table and darts board. There are many patio areas with suitable seating and for the more romantic, a swing seat. Location: It is ideally situated between Chepstow (races) and Gloucester, with easy access to Cheltenham (races), Bristol, Cotswolds and much more. The area is popular with both the English themselves and visitors from all over the world. The area is known for its beautiful rolling hillsides, sleepy villages and range of activities. Whether you want to enjoy the historical architecture or take part in some extreme mountain biking you will be right at home. The Royal Forest of Dean is walker's paradise. It covers over 110 square kilometres of woodland and lies between the rivers Wye and Severn, in the western part of Gloucestershire, on the borders of Wales and Herefordshire. Keeping the family entertained is easy with so many things to see and do. |
