There are FISHING RIGHTS for 2 Rods which allows access to 1.5 miles of this Pristine Sporting River. Record Salmon and Atlantic Trout have been landed from the "Little Pil" pool thought to be the best pool for Salmon fishing by the Dolgellau Angling Club. The Pil Pool is accessed directly from the Front lawn. The STOREHOUSE has an interesting history-originally the landing place for supplies shipped in from England for the `Lord of the Manor` and later as a Riverside wharfage for the building of the Old sea going sailing vessels the last being a 34 ton Sloop called "Two Brothers" which was launched from the house in 1834. The Large panoramic birdwatching window overlooks the River Wnion and beyond has spectacularly stunning unbroken views over the Mawddach Estuary to the Mountains beyond above Bontddu where the Royal Wedding Rings originate. |

When approaching Dolgellau from either A494 Bala A487 Machynlleth or A456 Welshpool do not drive into town but take the Dolgellau Bypass (A470) to Llanelltyd in the direction of Betwys-y-Coed. We are the second house on the left on the A470 after the junction with the A493 to Tywyn. It is the White Cottage marked STOREHOUSE Pull into the drive as there is adequate room to park. |
