Description: Both units have colour TV, video, refrigerator, microwave and a fixed electric heater in each room. Strone cottage also has a tumble dryer. Electric storage heating is supplied free of charge and extra electricity such as cooking and shower is supplied through a £1 coin meter. All beds have duvets with fresh covers provided and sheets may be hired on request. We supply free linen for people who come from abroad and who may have difficulty bringing their own. Public transport is about 100 yards from both units. The number of guests in each unit must not exceed four. We regret that we cannot accept pets. Both units are non Smoking.

Location: Strone is situated on Lochness-side in the great glen and at the lower end of Glenurquhart in the beautiful Highlands of Scotland. Situated halfway down Lochness, Strone is an ideal base for a holiday in the Highlands and within easy reach of Inverness on the East coast and Fort William and Skye on the West. There are two modern units, Strone cottage and Strone chalet. They are on separate sites to give maximum privacy. Peace and quiet are assured at Strone, and this is an excellent location for bird watching. It is unusual for a week to pass without seeing a deer, a fox or a pine marten wandering by. Both units are Tourist Board three star graded and command magnificent views over Urquhart bay, the legendary home of the Lochness monster.
