Snowgoose Apartments

Description: Farriers - Sleeping 6/8 persons - This large airy apartment faces the minor road leading into Corpach Basin and have a South and West aspect. Each has its own large pineclad porch area for boots and wet gear. The open plan living/dining/ kitchen area opens off the porch through a glass door. As with the smaller apartments "Farriers" is fully heated on Total Control heating with a storage heater and "real" electric fire in the living area, plus panel heaters in all bedrooms. The fully fitted kitchen area is finished and equipped to a high standard with adequate utensils etc. plus fitted hob/oven, cooker hood, fridge, toaster and coffee maker. Within the spacious living area there is an extendable pine dining table with chairs and suspended overhead light. The easy seating is comfortable and adequate with soft wall lighting, pine walls and ceilings giving a very pleasant atmosphere. The large windows give excellent views over Loch Linnhe, Ben Nevis, and sunsets over the nearby western hills. There is also a coffee table and colour TV. Through a glass door an internal corridor leads to two separate shower rooms each with its own independently heated shower. In addition there is a convector heater,shaver point, w.h.b. and w.c. Also off the internal corridor are three spacious bedrooms, one with a double bed and fitted wardrobe, one with two single beds and fitted wardrobe and pine wardrobe. All bedrooms are fitted with pine drawers and bedside unit/lamp and mirror. There are two folding z-beds to sleep a 7/8th person.

Forge - Sleeping 2 - 4 people - First floor apartment with excellent views over Ben Nevis to the South and East, fully heated on a Total Control" system with a storage heater in the living area plus an electric "real fire". There are panel heaters in the bedrooms with automatic settings. The kitchen/living/dining area is open plan with pine furnishings and pineclad walls, giving a cosy compact atmosphere. The kitchen units are fully fitted with oven/hob and cooker hood, plus a fridge. The apartments are more than adequately equipped with crockery, cutlery and general utensils plus toaster and coffee maker. Within the living/dining area there is a pine gatelegged table, with suspended overhead light plus easy seating. There is a fully sprung double sofa bed. Wall lighting, coffee table and colour TV and table lamp complete the living area. An internal corridor leads through a glass door to a small fully fitted shower room with an independent shower heater, shaver point. w.h.b, w.c. and convector heater. Also off the internal corridor is one twin bedroom with two pine single beds, pine wardrobe, chest of drawers and mirror.

The Smiddy Bunkhouse - Sleeps 12 - Open Plan Kitchen Area - This is a fully fitted area with storage units and shelving. Completely equipped with crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, pots & pans. There is a separate frodge & freezer, toaster, kettle and urn (if needed) & microwave. Excellent cooking facilites - all electric with 2 full ovens, 2 hobs, & hoods with 8 cooking rings and 2 grills. Open Plan Living / Dining Area - In The Smiddy we have two long pine dining tables & benches plus a new settle and table to more than comfortably seat 12 adjacent to the kitchen area. There is an easy sitting area with a coffee table provided to chill out and chat in front of the "fire". There is no television in the Smiddy - novels, magazines and games are provided. The interior of the Smiddy is almost completely pine clad with Scandinavian light pine which gives a comfortable cosy interior. Shower Rooms - There are 2 shower rooms in the Smiddy.Shower Room 1 is en-suite with a small bunkroom for 4. It is fitted with 1 full electric shower, WC, 2 wash hand basins, shaver point, heater. Shower Room 2 has 2 full electric showers, WC; 2 wash hand basins; shaver point and heater. There is no extra charge for showers. Bunkrooms - There are 2 alpine style bunkrooms with bunkbeds. One bunkroom sleeps 4 on 2 platforms ~ this has an "en-suite shower" room. This is an ideal family room. The other bunkroom sleeps up to 8 in bunkbeds. We provide:- All bedding - mattresses, mattress covers, pillows, pillow slips, duvets & duvet covers which are changed with freshly laundered linen with each change over. All cooking and eating utencils to accomodate all 12 persons in the Smiddy - this includes all pots & pans, cutlery and crockery. There is always a supply of tea towels, dish cloths, washing up liquid and pan scourers. We provide all bedding - there is no extra charge for this.

Blacksmiths Backpacker Hostel - Sleeps 14 - Open Plan Kitchen Area - Fully fitted kitchen area with storage units & shelving. Completely equipped with crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, pots & pans. Fridge & microwave. Excellent cooking facilities. All electric - full oven, hob with 4 rings, hood, and grill. Kitchen available at all times. Shower rooms - There are 2 separate shower rooms in Blacksmiths. Each one has a full electric shower, wash hand basin, WC, shaver point and heater. There is no extra charge for showers. Open Plan Living / Dining Area - 2 long pine tables with fitted settles & benches to comfortably seat & feed 14 people altogether adjacent to cooking area. Comfortable easy seating on sofas and chairs provided in living area alongside dining area. There is no television in Blacksmiths. The interior of the Hostel living area is almost completely pine clad with light pine, which gives a light airy feeling ~ but is comfortable & cosy. Bunkrooms - There are 3 bunkrooms in Blacksmiths, which sleep 4 (2) or 6 (1) persons with plenty of space.These are in full sized adult bunkbeds. We provide:- Mattresses; mattress cover and clean under sheet; pillow & pillow slip, duvet and duvet cover. All bedding is freshly laundered after each change over. Bedding:- There is no extra charge for this bedding.

Location: Uniquely located at the head of Loch Linnhe, alongside the south-western entrance to the Caledonian Canal. The unique situation some 4 miles to the north west of Fort William on "The Road to the Isles", alongside the West Highland Railway Line, we are only yards from the end of the Canal with the best views in the area of Ben Nevis and surrounding ranges. The location of Snowgoose Mountain Centre at the head of the tidal waters of Loch Linnhe, 20 miles in either direction from the open sea, is within a very short distance of widely ranging grades of white water, rock and mountains, means that we can offer an extensive range of water and mountain based activities for all grades, from one hour to one week. We are 5 miles from Aonach Mhor ski area with its all year round gondola facility and 15 miles from Glencoe. We offer a range of adventure activity days out, holidays, instruction and guiding with resident, fully qualified outdoor instructors or guides. The village of Corpach forms a link between the Long Distance Walking route - the West Highland Way and the Great Glen Ways for walking, mountain biking, canoeing and sailing. plus the coming and going of all types of yachts and other vessels through the Caledonian Canal.
