Description: Essan Cottage is the traditional station master's bungalow for Morar Railway station. This comfortable self catering holiday cottage has one double and one twin bedded room, as well as a lounge, well equipped kitchen and spacious bathroom with toilet and shower. Electricity is by meter. The cottage has an oil fired central heating system, so you will never feel cold. Bed linen is supplied and towels can be hired for £3 per person. Parking is available for two cars. A cot and high chair is available on request. The cottage is equipped with a colour TV, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, and small garden. Pets are welcome by arrangement; however, there is a charge of £15 per dog per week.

Location: Essan Cottage is a delightful self catering cottage on the romantic "Road to the Isles". It is only three miles from Mallaig, the southern Gateway to the Isle of Skye. Morar village commands breathtaking views of the famous Silver Sands of Morar and the Inner Hebridean islands of Rum and Eigg. From Mallaig, you can travel to Skye on the ferry to Armadale, and from nearby Arisaig you can visit the islands of the Inner Hebrides, including Rum and Eigg. Morar is one of the most beautiful as well as historic districts in the Western Highlands of Scotland, comprising a magnificent combination of mountains, moors and lochs, as well as close proximity to the sea. It is located approximately 42 miles from Fort William, along the A830.
