The rounded peaks of the Munroes form a backdrop for this beautifully constructed lodge. Standing within an acre of walled garden, it forms an idyllic retreat for outdoor-loving families. Scenic walks can be taken from the doorstep, with climbing amid the nearby mountains. Clachan Garden was newly built in 2003. Great attention to detail has been paid to its spacious interior, with a mix of antique and modern furnishings. It has the ambience of a traditional Highland home, with the added comforts of modern-day living. There is accommodation for nine guests. There are four bedrooms, and four bathrooms, a lounge with open fire, and a huge kitchen/dining/living room. There is a laundry room and boot room. |

For local facilities, the village of Ullapool is seven miles away along the side of Lochbroom, and offer a range of quality shops, a supermarket, and some 13 restaurants. There is a sport centre and swimming pool aswell as open tennis courts. For cultural interest there is a museum and the two local bookshops are definately worth a visit. Internal facilities include:

Driving directions from Inverness: From Inverness follow the A9 to Tore roundabout, then the A835 for Ullapool. Drive approximately 65 km (40.39 miles) until you see the Clachan signpost. Turn left across the bridge, then first right. Clachan Garden is 1 km (0.62 miles) away. Wester Ross and the north are easily reached via the main A9 trunk road. Rail services and regular flights to Inverness have made this area more accessible to the rest of the United Kingdom. Car hire is available at Inverness airport and in the city.
