Description: Our modern ground floor self-catering flat overlooks Rothesay Bay and is a perfect base for touring the island and beyond. Central heating, and all linen included. There is a wide screen remote control colour televsion with Video and DVD Players. The kitchen area comes complete with four ring cooker, grill and oven, microwave, larder fridge and all you need for home cooking. There is full access to our utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and spacious upright freezer. The spacious bedroom has it\'s own remote controlled colour television and sleeps 3/4 in single beds. The bathroom has full length bath, overbath shower, wash-hand basin, shaver point and W.C. The flat enjoys full access to our back garden with sun terraces and barbecue area. Why not sit out front using our tables and chairs and enjoy one of Bute\'s spectacular sunsets while drinking your tea, coffee or glass of something stronger. Nestling in the garden to the rear of the Commodore amongst palm trees is our separate little cottage which is fully modernised and smaller than the front flat. Keep extra quiet in the morning and you may see one of the Roe deer which frequently visit the garden. There are terraces where you can enjoy the afternoon and early evening sun. We even boast a barbecue area! Sip a glass of wine or take your tea or coffee al fresco. The Cottage sleeps two in twin beds. There is a shower room with wash-hand basin and W.C. The Cottage enjoys full access to our utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and spacious upright freezer. Location: Bute is surprisingly easy to reach from mainland UK. There is a direct link by rail from Glasgow Central station to the Wemyss (pron. "weems") Bay ferry terminal from where the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry takes approximately 35mins to make the crossing to Rothesay. The Scenic Route : You can also reach Bute by car (or bike) using a more circuitous and spectacular route by driving up past Loch Lomond and through the mountains of Argyll. This brings you to the tiny village of Colintraive from whence a small ferry crosses the Kyles of Bute to Rhubodach on the north of the island. Drive south to Rothesay from here and locate us on the seafront. |
