This is an ideal base for touring the island, and visiting Iona, Staffa and Ulva. 1 hotel and Pub for meals, Mediterranean Italian Restaurant, A Spar grocery/paper shop, 1 Craft shop, Post office, police station, Hospital, Doctor, Petrol filling station, garage, bike hire shop, Mobile Banks - Bank of Scotland and Royal bank of Scotland all visit Salen on different days of the week.
