Clyde Valley Cottages

Description: There are four cottages available to rent, two large and two small. Bramble Cottage sleeps 5 people, and Lavender Cottage sleeps 6. Both cottages have a kitchen with cooker, microwave, washer/dryer, and fridge, as well as a complete set of pots, pans, plates and cutlery - everything you need for your self-catering holiday. Ivy Cottage and Anvil Cottage both sleep 2 people, also providing kitchen/living areas. Bramble and Lavender cottages have access through french windows to a walled garden, excellent for the children to play in. Each cottage also has a living area with sofas and armchairs, a TV and DVD player, for entertainment in the evening. Central heating and double glazing will keep you warm at night, and the farm courtyard provides ample parking.

Location: In the Scottish countryside in the Clyde Valley (South Lanarkshire), near Glasgow and convenient for Edinburgh, are Clyde Valley Cottages - four self-catering cottages available to rent for holidays and short breaks. Each cottage is extremely well-appointed and three offer wheelchair access. Two cottages share a garden which offers somewhere safe for children to play, and the TV and DVD player provide entertainment when the night draws in. Each cottage has a kitchen with washer/dryer, fridge, cooker, pots & pans, kettle, microwave, etc. Although the cottages are surrounded by farmland in the rolling countryside of Southern Scotland, they are not completely isolated! A few miles away are supermarkets and other shops in the nearby town of Larkhall, which also has a mainline train station with good services to Glasgow (and on to Edinburgh).

The cottages are close to junctions of the M74 motorway, making it easy to make a start on any day trips you might have planned. There are things to do nearby, too - e.g. attractions at Strathclyde Park, Chatlerhault Hunting Lodge, Craignethan Castle, the historic town of Lanark, New Lanark Visitor Centre, waterslides at Motherwell swimming pool and the horses at Hamilton racecourse - your quiet break in the Scottish countryside can be as relaxing or exciting as you want it to be. Links to Glasgow and Edinburgh allow you easy access to these two cities and their historic centres. In the many museums you can learn about the history of the area, appreciate some collections of fine art or wonder at the world of science.
