The accommodation, which is spotlessly clean and spacious, consists of two twin bedrooms, one of which has an en suite shower room, large kitchen with dining area, main bathroom with bath and shower, hallway, rear porch with washing machine and drying facilities and an attractive lounge. There are four single beds but a double can be arranged on request. Outside the drive will accommodate three cars, and there is a lock fast shed for golf clubs and bicycles etc. Central heating is provided throughout by gas. Facilities include a washing machine, dryer, washing line, dishwasher, microwave, gas hob, electric oven, fridge, freezer, telephone (incoming/emergency calls only). In the lounge there is a large flat screen digital TV, DVD/Video Player, CD/Radio and an attractive flame effect limestone fireplace. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, salt and pepper is provided, along with washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, laundry powder and toilet rolls. All of this is included in the rental price along with electricity, gas, linen, towels and dishtowels. The cottage is positioned in the very central, friendly village or 'Lang Toon' of Auchterarder in beautiful Perthshire making it an ideal base from which to explore the magnificent countryside, golf , fish, walk, ski or simply enjoy the many attractions on offer nearby and in other parts of Scotland. Auchterarder Golf Course is only one mile away and 2 miles from The Gleneagles Hotel with 3 eighteen hole and one Par 3- 9 hole course and many other sporting factilities. There are over 40 golf courses within a hour's drive including St. Andrews, Caroustie, Rosemount etc. Edinburgh and Glasgow international airports are less than an hours drive away, as are Scotland’s major railway stations, with Gleneagles Station being less than five minutes away. There are good bus and train connections to Perth, Stirling, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The village has an abundance of shops and eating places within walking distance, providing everything you need from a delicatessen to high fashion. It is only 15 minutes from the busy market towns of Stirling with its Castle and Wallace Monument and Perth on the banks of the River Tay, offering a wealth of attractions. Perth has the Black Watch Museum, a lovely Repertory Theatre, concert hall, ice rink, golf courses, farmers market and many good restaurants. Perth has also won Britain in Bloom on several occasions, you will be spoilt for choice!. |
