Complementary in house stock is tea, coffee, sugar and milk, washing machine powder, kitchen and toilet roll, hand soap, washing up liquid, salt and pepper. Childs cot and highchair available on request. Kitchen Microwave, Combined Elec/Gas Cooker, Fridge, Freezer, Ample crockery and cutlery, Pans, dishes and all cooking utensils, Washing Machine, Tumble Drier. Sitting/dining Room Luxurious Leather Suite (one of which is a double sofa bed ), Coffee Table, Television Sky/digi box, Video/ DVD player, Coal effect Fire, Dining Table and six chairs, Bedroom No 1 Double Bed, Wardrobe, Dressing Table and Chair, Chest of Drawers, Storage Heater, Mirror. Bedroom No.2 Two single beds ( with facility to become a seamless Double bed ), Two Chests of Drawers, Two Wardrobes, Storage Heater, Mirror. Location: 16 Mounthooly Street is situated in the historic lanes area of the capital Lerwick, in a quiet location with no passing traffic noise. Free Parking is at the rear of the House in Rechabite Place car park. The Tourist Centre is at the bottom of the Street where you can book Boat trips or Coach trips to all areas. Lerwick’s two Supermarkets are not far from the house. The House is approximately 100 yards from the Main Town Centre, where you can browse through the shops or pass the time looking at the many foreign vessels in our beautiful harbour. Take time out to relax in the many Restaurants and Bars. From the house in a southerly direction (50yds) is a well stocked convenience store and a further 100 yards takes you to the picturesque cliff top area of the Knab. Here you will find 10 acres of beautiful cliff scenery giving unrestricted views of Lerwicks south harbour and the coastline of the island of Bressay. Also in this area is a 9 hole Golf Course where you can play free of charge. Lerwick has much to offer the Visitor with a state of the art Swimming Pool and Sports Complex at the Clickimin Centre, or you may wish to visit the newly constructed custom built waterfront Museum. Also available are Guided tours of the lanes area giving an interesting talk on bygone days, tales of smuggler’s caves and the origins of Lerwick (contact Tourist office to book). Our weekly newspaper The Shetland Times will keep you informed about activities and entertainment for the following week. Note:- Live Traditional Music can be heard in the Lounge Bar near the bottom of Mounthooly Street after 8pm every Wednesday Evening. |
