Description: Our 5 cottages have been tastefully converted and renovated from original stone farm buildings and offer luxury accommodation following full refurbishment in 2002. Retaining all the old world charm and character associated with English country cottages Somerset Court provides modern comforts and facilities to make your cottage holiday a memorable experience for years to come. Each cottage has its own unique features. Four cottages have king-size 4 poster beds, and 2 cottages have luxury whirlpool / spa baths. There are 2 three bedroom cottages, each sleeping up to 6; 2 two bedroom cottages, each sleeping up to 4, and 1 one bedroom cottage, sleeping 2-4. Somerset Court self catering holiday cottages are available for weekly lets, short breaks and short term tenancies. Location: Somerset Court is located in the quiet North Somerset medieval village of Wick St Lawrence, opposite the 16th century church. We are within about 2 miles of the coast, and about 5 miles from Weston-super-Mare. The rural but convenient setting of our self-catering holiday cottages provides the ideal place to relax and 'get away from it all'. Somerset, gateway to the beautiful West Country of England offers a wealth of attractions including Cheddar Caves and Gorge famous for the caves and potholes, which have weird and wonderful natural formations created by the water dripping through local limestone. The cities of Bath with it’s elegant Regency architecture and Wells with its cathedral, Glastonbury, Wookey Hole plus the popular Victorian seaside town of Clevedon. The historic city of Bristol echoing a rich maritime heritage with a vibrant mixture of bars, clubs and cafes is only 12 miles away. Footpaths from the cottages take you to the Bristol Channel coast for views to Flatholme and Steepholm islands, National Trust headland of Sand Point as well as the spectacular Severn bridges crossing the water to South Wales. For the more energetic level cycle paths enable our visitors to explore the countryside and nearby Mendip Hills. Alternatively, just enjoy the rural setting of our English country cottages, which are only a few miles from the full holiday amenities of Weston-super-Mare and the wild beauty of the Exmoor National Park. |
