The Villa Stables

Description: 3 Star / Diamond Rating 4. The Villa Stables are at the back of what was the Doctor\'s house in the centre of the village. The house dates from pre 1700, but it was given a new Georgian facade in 1828. The stable buildings were also added around this time. All the buildings are grade II listed. The Old Stables and The Loose Box are separate and self-contained cottages converted for use primarily as self-catering holiday homes, but B&B can also be provided subject to availability. Each has a separate paved garden and barbeque area for warm days and summer evenings. For the cooler times of the year both have oil-fired central heating. There is off-road parking for two/three cars. The Villa Stables are in the centre of the attractive village of Laxfield a few yards from the village shop and a short walk from the two village pubs - both of which are also restaurants - the 15th century church and the Guild Hall, now the Laxfield and District Museum. Rates: The Loose Box (2 adults + sofa bed) from £210 - £370 per week, £50 - £60 per night. The Old Stables (up to 4adults) from £240 - £470 per week, £65 - £85 per night. Bed rooms: Stables 2/Loose Box 1/En-suite: 1.

Location: Laxfield is an attractive village in Mid Suffolk ideally situated for holidays to enjoy both the rural countryside and the Suffolk Heritage Coast. It is only a short drive to Aldeburgh, Dunwich, Orford and Southwold. Or you can explore the market towns of Framlingham, Debenham, Halesworth, Eye, Beccles and Bungay, all close by. Apart from touring, other local activities include walking, cycling, fishing, bird-watching, tennis, riding, swimming, shooting and golf. There is a growing choice of good food, home grown and world cuisines and there are any number of historic country pubs most of which provide real ale.
