Description: Hazel Cottage is a self catering holiday cottage. It is a cosy garden cottage, well situated in picturesque Upper Settle, with good views across the valley. A short footpath leads to The Green and there are many excellent walks from the door. The ancient market town of Settle, with its cobbled streets, has many country shops and restaurants, and is a good base for touring the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and visiting the Settle to Carlisle railway which features steam trains. Within a short distance a wide range of leisure activities are enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. For example, golf, crown green bowls, horse riding, pot holing, climbing, fishing, walking, etc. The Lake District is close by. Hazel Cottage sleeps up to four. Upstairs, there is a large bedroom with a double bed and a single bed; and there is a single bedroom. There is a single folding bed in the downstairs lounge. A cot is available on request. The kitchen is well equipped with a gas cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave oven. Heating is by storage heaters and an open fire in the lounge. Logs and coal are provided at no extra cost. There is also no extra charge for gas or electricity. Bed linen and tea towels are provided free. However, should you require bath and hand towels, there is a charge of £5 per person. Hazel Cottage has a colour TV, radio, telephone, shaver point, bath and shower and a small garden with garden furniture available. Parking is by The Green. The market square, shops, pubs, restaurants and launderette are within five minutes walk. One well behaved dog is acceptable, by arrangement, however, you should keep your pet under close control. Settle is essentially a sheep farming community and dogs wandering alone or out of control are likely to upset local people. Please book your holiday as far as possible in advance. A 5% discount is offered to customers booking a second or subsequent holiday, in the current year or following years - please ask. A deposit of 30% is payable on booking. On cancellation, this is non returnable unless we are able to re-book. The balance is payable four weeks before the start of your holiday.
