Description:

Werngochlyn Cottages are cosy, stone buildings set around the 12 century Werngochlyn Farm farmyard. Each have c/h, fully equipped kitchen, sitting room with dining area, colour TV/DVD with a good internet connection.

There is plenty of outside space - room to park and green spaces to sit out and barbeque. We have lots of farm animals to befriend...as well as eggs to collect for breakfast! There is a heated indoor swimming pool (open for much of the year), hot tub and games room. A Livery Yard and Riding School is on site too. Linen is provided and there is a launderette for Guests use.

The cottages are roomy and sleep 4, 4, 5 and 6 respectively. Granary Cottage has 2 bathrooms - one a shower room and an enclosed garden. The others have bathrooms with a shower over the bath. Dogs very welcome! It is paradise for families and children and for visitors of all ages wanting to explore this magical part of Wales.



Location:

Werngochlyn Farm is set in beautiful farmland with the Skirrid Mountain as a backdrop. A stream runs through the farmyard and footpaths go through the property. It is only 3 miles from the historic market town of Abergavenny - with it's famous Food Festival in September.

Lots going on all through the year and it has a theatre, cinema, museum and has it's own castle A perfect place to base yourself for exploring the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons, Wye Valley, with Blaenavon (World Heritage Site)all on the doorstep. Chance to re-live life working in a coalmine - The Big Pit only 20 minutes away. The River Usk and the Newport/Brecon canal run adjacent to the town. Monmouthshire has the most castles per county in the country!

Adventure seekers have all kinds of activities at their fingertips - and horse-riding lessons are available at the farm - swimming, pool and ping-pong too. Wonderful walking - dogs are welcome....mountains to climb, good food to be had! What more could you be looking for? Only 30 minutes from the Severn Bridge, 1/2 hour from Monmouth, Hereford and Newport, under an hour to Cardiff, 1 hour to Bristol. Abergavenny has a main line Railway Station (Manchester/Swansea)
