Brackenlea

Description:

A charming three star 2-bedroom corner terraced cottage located in the pretty village of Harbottle in the Northumberland National Park. We are ideally placed for the attractions of Alnwick Garden, Kielder Water and Hadrians Wall, as well as the stunning Northumberland Coast, Lindisfarne and the Scottish Borders. A little further afield there is easy access to Newcastle and the huge Metrocentre indoor shopping centre, National Trust properties, The Beamish Tourist Experience, and Edinburgh is less than two hours drive away. Built in the early 19th century, Brackenlea is thought to have been the bottling plant for the brewery which was an integral part of the Star Inn, whose yard the cottage backs on to. The cottage has undergone total refurbishment to provide luxurious accommodation whilst retaining its traditional Northumbrian character.

Location:

We are located in the beautiful Northumberland National Park. The area is perfect for outdoor activities, we have fishing, horse riding, mountain biking, hill walking, rambling right on our doorstep, and a warm and welcoming pub two doors away to relax in. For those looking to chill out there is no better place in England, a place where mobile phones won't ring and you can walk, fish or ride all day in beautiful surroundings and not see a soul.
