Description:
Two bedrooms, twin and double. Living/Kitchen area. Living area (room for `aero-bed`) includes colour television with freeview, DVD, CD/Radio. Kitchen is fully equipped and includes an automatic washing machine and microwave. Bathroom with bath/electric shower, heated towel rail and heater. A travel cot can be supplied if required (with bedding if requested). Heating (living area and bedrooms) is by thermostatically controlled electric panel heaters. In the garden area there is garden furniture and children`s swings. Linen/towels and electric are included in the tariff. No smoking allowed in chalet. Small well-behaved pets allowed in living area. (Please add £20 per week to tarrif). Lockable shed for bikes/fishing equipment.
Location:
This self-catering accommodation in Sutherland, which sleeps up to five (fifth person on `aero-bed`), is set in a beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands overlooking the Moray Firth with views as far as the Cairngorms on a clear day. Brackenside is situated in Achrimsdale about one and a half miles north of the village of Brora, where there are local shops, hotels, a golf course, horse riding near-by and a beautiful beach. There is a railway station and bus service which connects with further afield if required. Sutherland has many interesting things to see and do including hillwalking, golfing, fishing (including salmon fishing), birdwatching and many places of historic interest. Nearby in the village of Golspie there is a Mountain Bike Trail which is one of the top trails in the UK. There are many sandy beaches as well as scenic glens, with the possibility of seeing an eagle, deer, etc. The Orkney Islands are within easy reach as is the West Coast and Skye, these all make a wonderful day trip. The city of Inverness, to the South, is an hour`s drive away as are Wick, Thurso and John O`Groats to the north.
