The self-catering house comprises three reception rooms and five bedrooms, three en-suites with an additional family bathroom. Higham Farmhouse is a 16th Century Listed Farmhouse with Characteristic Flemish Gables. It has recently been extensively renovated and modernised and has a wood burning stove in each of the three reception rooms. The Sitting Room aims to be cosy and comfortable with a sofabed allowing the room to double as a sixth bedroom. The Dining Room has an attractive Inglenook fireplace and boasts a dining room table large enough to seat twelve people together. The family room provides an alternate seating area and access to the patio area outside where there is garden furniture to enable you to enjoy the location and appreciate the cows, trees, flowers and birdlife of this very special spot. The master bedroom provides a double bed and a particularly spacious en-suite with shower and bath. The second bedroom is on the second floor, with a double bed and en-suite with bath. The third bedroom is on the first floor also with a double bed and a shower en-suite. Both the fourth and fifth bedrooms have twin beds. Higham Farmhouse has been equipped with the main requirements of a home. In addition to oil fired central heating there are three wood burning stoves, a fitted oak kitchen, an electric double oven and hob, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, large screen television.



Location:

Higham Farmhouse is a 16th Century Listed Farmhouse, situated on a working farm. It was extensively renovated in Spring 2010 and is offered as holiday accommodation for a minimum of three nights, with a Friday changeover for weekly lets. The farmhouse is situated on the edge of 200 acres of chestnut woodland and has the advantages of extensive private parking and an established South facing garden with patio area. There are three pubs within walking distance; two in the village of Fordwich and the other in Stodmarsh, near the internationally recognised Nature Reserve. The farmhouse enjoys an enviable location, with spectacular view's eastward, down the Greater Stour Estuary.
