Description:
The Garden Cottage was our first venture and was converted from the farm bakery where all the bread was baked, the trap house and the old farm kitchen where there was a huge black coal range last century. The cottage is self contained with two spacious bedrooms, a comfortable sitting cum dining area with colour TV and fitted kitchen. The whole area is very cosy with night storage heaters maintaining an even temperature continuously. To the rear of the cottage is an extensive garden with patio furniture, this makes for an attractive extension to the sitting room. Many visitors enjoy this pleasant aspect of the holiday. All heating, electricity and linen is included.
Location:
We are just north of the village of Castleside off the A68. Heading towards Corbridge as you leave Castleside going passed the Fleece Inn on your left, then in 300 yards turn left down a small lane, sign posted Derwent Grange. Follow the road steeply down round tight Z bends, over a bridge and through a gate (close if it is closed). Climb up and past a wood on your right, the farm is then on your right.
