Location:
A traditional cottage situated 10 miles south of Ayr in coastal setting en-route to Turnberry. With at least a dozen golf courses nearby, including two famous championship courses at Royal Troon and Turnberry, Loch Ayim makes an ideal base for a golfing break. The local fishing, whether it be sea or fresh water, is another great attraction. The white sands of Croy Beach lie a mere 10 minutes walk away and the bay is ideal for water sports. Hillwalkers will delight in the varied walks offered by the beautiful Carrick countryside. For those seeking less active pursuits, Burns country is a short drive away and there are many National Trust properties to visit and explore, one of which being Culzean Castle (visible from the cottage) with General Eisenhower’s private apartment gifted to him by The National Trust for Scotland. Ayr town centre offers excellent shopping, restaurants and amenities. Glasgow and all it’s attractions lie an hour away by road or rail.
