Description:
2 Chapel Cottages is one of a pair on a small common by a converted chapel. It is in a tiny village on the Suffolk coast, right next to the RSPB reserve at Minsmere. The house and garden look out over protected marshland grazed by cattle and home to swans and many other birds. The cottage is a 30 minute walk across fields from the sea, and is within a short drive of Aldeburgh, Southwold, Walberswick and Dunwich. There are some wonderful Adnams pubs close by, including the Eels Foot in Eastbridge itself. The cottage is on two floors. It has three bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin, 1 bunk-bed) and a sofa-bed in the open plan cooking/dining/living area. The bathroom is on the ground floor. The cottage has been a second home to us for some years now, and so it has a family feel about it. There is a sheltered patio at the back and a garden to the side, overlooking a water meadow straight out of a Constable painting.
Location:
Situated halfway between Southwold and Dunwich, the cottage has picture windows overlooking a protected water meadow. It is alongside the RSPB Nature Reserve at Minsmere, and is a 35 minute walk across fields beside Minsmere to the sea.
