The apartment has recently been refurbished, and has a new, fully integrated cherry and stainless steel kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer and fridge freezer. The kitchen is open plan to the living room, which has a sofa bed, two leather chairs, and a dining area. The living area also has a wall mounted LCD TV/DVD player and a portable CD radio player. The bathroom is off of the bedroom, and is fitted with a jacuzzi bath and power shower. There is a secure entry system, and the apartment is on the 1st floor within a block of three. The apartment is ideal for couples and families with one or two younger children.

It lies in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle, and is within a few hundred yards of a rich variety of restaurants, wine bars and the city's oldest public houses. Edinburgh Castle and other principal historical attractions are located within a short walk from the flat. The neighbouring Grassmarket area boasts the existence of Edinburgh's oldest eating and drinking establishments. The Lyceum, Traverse and Kings Theatres are situated within a few minutes walk. Princes Street, with its extensive shopping facilities is reached by a five minute walk through the nearby beautiful Princes Street Gardens.
