In Designated National Scenic Area and overlooking the sea and the islands of Skye, Harris and Lewis, Freyja is a well-refurbished, very cosy, crofters cottage, detached with spacious garden and parking for two cars. Freyja is a two-storey cottage, double glazed throughout and heated by storage heaters. Ground floor accommodation comprises fully fitted modern kitchen with sea views, with electric cooker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave. The comfortable lounge, which overlooks the sea, has a dining area, and TV, video, DVD player and CD/radio/cassette. The bathroom has a modern suite with electric overbath shower and wall heater. The upper floor has two bedrooms with pine furniture, one double bed and one twin room. The front porch has hanging space for outdoor clothes.

The cottage is situated In Melvaig, near Gairloch, approximately 300 yards from the seashore and jetty for boat launching, five minutes from The Melvaig Inn and about twenty minutes from Gairloch. The area's attractions include whale-watching and marine life trips, salmon, sea trout, brown trout, pike and sea fishing, bird-watching, falconry courses, golf course, swimming pool, pony trekking, bike and car hire, deer stalking and deer museum, Heritage Museum, guided hill walks and climbing. Also sea kayaking and boat trips on Loch Maree to see Viking graves, Inverewe Gardens. The coastline around Melvaig and to the Rua Reidh Lighthouse is rugged, a haven for nesting birds, seals, whales, basking sharks and otters. The Beinn Eighe Nature Reserve and the Torridon mountains are just a short distance away.
