Kelpie cottage was completed in 2009. It is furbished to a very high standard, comprises of a fully tiled kitchen, with dish washer, washing machine, fridge freezer, electric hob with fan oven, microwave,and butchers block, all washing powder, dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll, foil etc. are all provided. Open plan with the sitting room, wool carpets throughout, leather sete, wooden bookshelves, press, corner unit, captains chair, table and chairs, coffee table and window seats, electric coal effect fire, electric heating, controlled by you, TV, DVD, Vidio recorder and hifi, dimmer lights for those cosy nights in. The bathroom is large and spacious, with WC, wash basin roll top bath, and shower, large hall way, for all your coats, boots etc. The bedroom has wool carpets and sheep skin rugs by the king size bed, bedside cabnets, chevelle mirror, large wardrobe, dressing table and stool, An ironing board, and all laundry facilities are included,Hot water all day, All electricity is included in the price, I have no hidden costs. The cottage has 4 vellox windows in the roof making everywhere very light and airy. There are a selection of books, vidios and maps for your use and a few games and jigsaws. Outside has plenty of parking and sheds for bikes etc. BBQ and sitting area, beautiful gardens and a natural pond with newts, and creatures to explore. It is surrounde by hills and the loch a truly stunning location, please check out my website for guests comments and photos. I also have a workshop for crafts of all descriptions, I sell my work at a local craft market every Tuesday, and I am more than happy to share this facility with anyone interested in making gifts etc. Ideal for the couple where the man would like to go off fishing and the lady can use the workshop. This is also the perfect location for any ladies out there who would like to go on a holiday but not on there own, I would be happy to explore the island with you and share my time with you when and if you would like me too. This is a very safe place if you are on your own.

Kelpie cottage lies in the Waterstein township, the most westerly point in Scotland on the Isle of Skye,the cottage sits in half an acre of mature gardens overlooking Loch Mor. We are only a 20 minute walk from Neist Point Lighthouse, and 20 minute drive to the famous Three Chimneys Restaurant. We also have access to 2 secluded beeches where you can see minky whales, basking sharks, seals, otters, and dolphins swimming in the gulf stream in the minch. Beautiful cliff walks overlooking the outer isles to the west and Rum and Canna to the south or an evening stroll around Loch Mor. Waterstein is also home to a pair of golden eagles seen regularly soaring over the cottage. We have an abundence of bird life here including peregrine falcon, buzzards, hen harriers, red throated divers, hawks, shearwaters, kestrels too many to name but a bird watchers paradise. Ideal location for fishing, pollock, rass, and during the summer huge numbers of mackeral, We enjoy the most beautiful sunsets, photographers won't know which way to look, they turn the hillsides red, absoloutely stunning and if your lucky enough to be here when the northern lights are giving a display, a site for sore eyes. The skies are very clear, making star gazing another treat, milky way right over head, the plough, the bear, saturn, venus theyre so clear you can almost touch them, except in the hieght of summer when it never gets dark, something for everyone, plenty of museums in the area, very good restaurants, boat trips, I can also arrange for a mooring for the week if you would like to bring your own boat with you,only a mile from Pooltele jetty, horse riding, golf, walking, climbing, craft markets, or a trip around Talisker whiskey disstillery, you never get bored, thats for sure. A beautiful location.
