Deceptively spacious, The Haven, formerly the farm workers accommodation, now has 1 double and 2 twin bedrooms. The large sitting room has dining and kitchen areas. A back door from the utility room accesses a private patio beside the burn and shared garden area; One of the twin bedrooms is on the ground floor with adjacent bathroom with toilet, hand basin and shower above the bath. Upstairs there is 1 double bedroom (king sized bed), 1 twin bedded room and a shower room with toilet and hand basin. Facilities include; Ample car parking, TV, video, washing machine, tumble drier, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, garden furniture. Across the burn there is a gas barbecue on a paved barbecue area shared with the Stables and the Hayloft. The Haven, Stables and Hayloft can also be let together as one cottage - known collectively as the Steadings!
Location:
Nestling in the Glen surrounded by beautiful hills the cottages are the original outbuildings of a traditional 18th century farm, renovated to the highest standard using, where possible, original features and items. Its location makes an ideal base for exploring Cowal, Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, Kintyre, Argyll Forest Park, plus easy access via one of the shortest sea ferry crossings in the world to the Island of Bute. There is a wide variety of cycling or walking in the area. We are located on one of the loop walks off the Cowal Way and can provide transport for drop-off or pick-up for walking stretches of the Way.
