Description:
Cider Press, formerly a granary and a cider mill built with local red brick has been converted into a contempory holiday cottage, lying within the farmhouse walled garden, surrounded by apple blossom, flower filled borders and lavender hedges. The cottage has wonderful views over farmland looking towards Aconbury woods and Ridgehill. The entrance is through a green oak wood porch into a large lounge and dining room, furnished with a leather suite, dark oak table and leather high back dining chairs. A downstairs cloakroom leads off the dining room. The separate kitchen has maple wood units, fired earth tiles and a small table and chairs. A glazed back door leads to a small brick yard. Upstairs are two light airy bedrooms with exposed beams, great views over garden and countryside. The double room has a French rococo king-sized bed and ensuite shower room. The twin bedded room features the original A framed oak beams and again a large ensuite shower room. The cottage is heated by a combi oil-fired Worcester boiler with heat controlled radiators. SORRY, NO SMOKING AND NO PETS ALLOWED. A deposit of £100 to secure the cottage and balance due four weeks before the arrival date. The cottage is ready for occupation at 3 pm and guests are asked to please vacate by 10.30 am on the day of departure. Saturday to Saturday booking. Short breaks available, early and late season. Location:
Herefordshire is truly a rural secret, diverse countryside of wooded rolling hills to meandering river valleys, the least populated county in England. Wander along leafy lanes through productive farmland of rich red soil to Market towns, Black and White timber villages, historic churches, border castles, glorious gardens and of course the Hereford Cathedral with the world famous Mappa Mundi and Chained Library. Grafton Villa Farm lies only two miles from the Cathedral city of Hereford, yet is surrounded by an acre of lawns and gardens with panoramic views across farmland to Dinedor and Aconbury hill forts, so peaceful and relaxing.
