Hatters Cottage is a detached 18th Century farm cottage sleeping 4. It has been renovated throughout, retaining the stone hearth and beams, with gas central heating and double glazing. The windows look out onto the cottage's private garden, and at the back to gardens, fields and woodland. The sitting room has two settees, easy chair a TV and video. There is a separate dining room with traditional furniture, and a fully fitted kitchen with full-size gas cooker and microwave. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a 5-foot double bed and one with twin beds, and a shower room.

Hatters Cottage is in a secluded location on a small farm in the central Lake District, beside a small stream, surrounded by gardens, fields, orchard and woodland, with mountain views. 1 mile from Hawkshead (post office, shops, pubs). One can walk or cycle from the cottage door in all directions on footpaths, quiet lanes and forest tracks. Mountain walking, boating, pony trekking and rock climbing are available nearby.
