Hatters Cottage Sleeps 4. A detached 18th century stone farm cottage with sunny patio and garden, the only let property on the (very small) farm. Formerly used for making woollen hats. Secluded location beside a stream, surrounded by fields, orchard and woodland with mountain views. The interior has been fully renovated retaining the original stone hearth and wooden beams. Central heating and double glazing throughout.

Facilities: Sleeps 4. Double and twin bedrooms. Living room, dining room, galley kitchen, shower room and sunny patio.


Hatters Cottage occupies a secluded location in the central Lake District, 150 metres from public roads, near the top of a hill between Hawkshead and Coniston villages. The picturesque village of Hawkshead and the National Trusts beauty spot Tarn Hows are a 30-minute walk away. It is a short drive to Beatrix Potters farmhouse in Near Sawrey. You can walk and cycle from the door on quiet lanes and footpaths, and mountain walking on the Coniston Fells is close at hand.
