Old Coach House and Orchard End

Two self catering cottages in the village of Hooke both have four bedrooms and two bathrooms and sleep eight. Both have large gardens and off road parking Well equipped with dishwashers washing machines and tumble dryers. Both cottages are dog friendly.

You are sure of a peaceful time in our lovely village of Hooke. It nestles in a valley between two ridges of the famous Dorset hills, close to several major roads but with very little traffic other than the odd tractor.

When walking around the village you will see our charming ancient Church of St Giles and Hooke Court, both dating from the 15th century; Hooke Woods, which in spring is carpeted with bluebells and has many beautiful paths to wander; and the river and several picturesque ponds and lakes.

As well as an abundance of common British wildlife and familliar farm animals, you will see ponies and donkeys grazing and, if you are lucky, may even see a kingfisher. In addition, some of West Dorsetís finest views are waiting for you as you drive to Beaminster or Bridport. In particular, the Iron Age hill fort on Eggardon Hill has spectacular views over the county and is a good destination for walkers.
