Unique benefits of the property

There are so many benefits to this property I cannot name them all, so here are a few, the cottage is literally on the doorstep of the Forest of Dean (across the road) where the walks are simply breathtaking, plenty of quaint villages within 1 – 5 mile radius, Monmouth, Chepstow and Cardiff are 15, 20, 45 minutes away (Wales), and Ross on Wye, Hereford, Gloucester, Bristol (England) 15, 20, 20, 45 minutes in the other direction. Lovely golf courses close to hand as well as horse riding, Llama trekking and adventure parks, so much for children from toddlers to teenagers its impossible to name them all as the list goes on and on, plus great many eating places and wonderful pubs for the grown ups. You can have a chilled break or adventures every day, the choice is yours.

Location:

The property was bought for its location, history and the stunning views. It is in an 'area of outstanding natural beauty' which means the land cannot be built upon, set in an elevated position on the edge of the 'Royal Forest of Dean' it nestles in a hillside over looking the Severn valley, it is perfect. It is a 1830's detached cottage with no near neighbours to mention, but the friendly village of Mitcheldean is only 0.5miles down the road, and has a Spar, post office, butchers and fruit and veg shop,a Chinese and fish and chip takeaway. the 'White Horse' pub is wonderful and Sandra, Brian and Dan are so welcoming,as are the locals, so if you fancy a old fashioned singsong or a good 'chinwag' in a typical village pub, its the place to go.

Other local villages: Cinderforrd is 3 miles away and has numerous shops/banks plus a large Lidl and Co-op supermarket, many takeaways and a few good Restaurants and Cinema. Plenty of villages within a 5 mile radius of the cottage with fabulous restaurants - all information is kept in a book at the cottage along with taxi numbers and maps.

For fabulous shopping: Ross on Wye 7 miles. Gloucester 12 miles. Mommouth 19 mies. Chepstow 20 miles. Cheltenham 21 miles. Hereford 22 miles. Bristol 38 miles. Cardiff 56 miles.
