Nayland is one of the famous cloth towns of Suffolk, having possibly the finest collection of medieval timber-framed buildings in the Country. The other Heritage Villages of the area Lavenham, Long Melford and Sudbury are all within a few minutes drive and the coast is only half an hour away. Not to be missed: Colchester Zoo, Kentwell Hall and its historic re-enactments, Mersea Island's seafoods and Jimmy's Farm weekly markets.
