There is also an abundance of cycle routes either on roads or forest tracks including the 7 Stanes Circuit at Kirroughtree Forest Park. You could visit Wigtown, Scotland's Book town which holds two major literary festivals each year and the distillery at Bladnoch. Discover the many delightful gardens and nurseries in the area. There are attractive golf courses within the area and the championship course at Turnberry is an hour away.
