Pitcot Farm Cottages - Warkey Cottage

Description:

Sleeps 6, No Pets. Warkey is our newest cottage and has been created from a single storied barn on the opposite side of the courtyard from Perrink and Aken. It is a spacious cottage with beautiful open views. The sitting room is large and well furnished with Freeview TV and a DVD player and has panoramic views across the Nettlebridge valley. The kitchen/dining room is very well equipped with an electric cooker, dishwasher, washer dryer, fridge/freezer and microwave oven. There are doors from the sitting room to the patio areas that are on two sides of the cottage: patio furniture is provided. Warkey has three bedrooms and can accommodate 6 people. The first bedroom has a king size bed and an ensuite bath and shower room. The second bedroom has a double bed with an ensuite toilet/shower room. The third bedroom has 2 x 3' single beds again with an ensuite toilet/shower room. We have a non-smoking policy for all of the cottages. Your cooperation would be appreciated. All the properties are fully centrally heated and double glazed, and each has a log-burning stove for that extra cosy feel on a chilly evening. There is a television and a DVD player in each sitting room.

Location:

Welcome to Pitcot Farm Barn Cottages, three self catering holiday homes, Perrink, Aken and Warkey, situated in an elevated position on the edge of the Mendip Hills, approximately 9 miles from Wells and 14 miles from Bath. They are surrounded by open farmland and face the beautiful Nettlebridge Valley. Until a few years ago Pitcot was a working farm, but now the land is used by a neighbouring farmer who grazes his special breeds of sheep: Zwartbles (black with a white blaze) and Charollais (white sheep from the Charolle region of France). The sight of the black and white lambs is delightful. Perrink, Aken and Warkey cottages have been created from two lovely, long, single-storied barns. They take their names from the coal seams that ran through this part of the Nettlebridge Valley.
