The flat occupies the entire upper floor of a two storey house and has its own front door. The long attractive entrance hall leads to a comfortable 18ft sitting/dining room and newly refurbished kitchen which includes a dishwasher and plenty of cupboard space. The shower room with a heated towel rail has also been recently refurbished. The flat is ideal for two people but there is a large double bedroom with kingsize double bed as well as a bed settee, folding bed and cot. A useful lockable under-steps stone cupboard, ideal for bicycles, muddy boots, fishing gear and pushchairs, completes the accommodation. There is ample free parking space.
Comprehensive tourist information, games, jigsaws, fiction, local books and children’s books are all provided. Paintings by Scottish artists form a feature of the property and there are notes to explain more about the paintings and artists.

With views to the high hills, it is located in a quiet sunny south facing position in the conservation area of the lovely small Borders town of Peebles but is only a three minute quiet riverside walk to Peebles High Street. It is close to all amenities including shops, restaurants, take-aways, pubs, swimming pool, public golf course and is just over 20 miles to Edinburgh. Surrounded by hills and situated on the River Tweed it is an ideal centre for walking, fishing, golf, horse riding and cycling.
The flat is situated near the foot of Venlaw Hill, part of Glentress Forest which is famous for mountain biking and describe as the no. 1 tourist attraction in the Borders. Neidpath Castle is a short walk along the river and the historic Traquair House is only a short drive away.
Nearby Dawyk Botanic Gardens and Kailzie Gardens are worth visiting at all times of the year. Peebles is an excellent centre for exploring the houses, gardens, woollen mills and craft centres throughout the Borders.
