The unique historic harbour of Porthleven, Cornwall, is situated some 3 miles from Helston and really does offer the visitor everything - a magnificent stretch of beach complete with rock pools, the harbour with its fishing and boats, the fabulous restaurants and cafes, traditional Cornish pubs and hospitality and, of course, the coastal path right on your doorstep giving access to some of the most spectacular scenery Britain has to offer. In Porthleven, Cornwall, you can spend your time browsing the galleries, craft shops, gift shops and jewellers, in fact you need not go out of the village for anything. There is live music in the pubs and on the harbourside, and events throughout the summer such as gig racing, lifeboat day and traditional Cornish festivals. Porthleven, Cornwall, remains unspoilt and is still a thriving local community rather than a holiday resort.
