Description:
Penhayl was once the studio of Arthur Meade, one of the original members of the St. Ives Society of Artists. It is a haven for anyone who wishes to get away from the hustle of every day life, and an ideal locationj for a writer, artist, bird-watcher or walker. It is also a convenient location for those who wish to play golf at the West Cornwall Club. It is detached and fully refurbished to a high standard having gained the coveted 5 Star Gold Award at inspection for the second year running. Normally bookings are for 7 or 14 nights but in February, March and November we do special three night breaks (£250) and provide local information on bird-watching, garden visits and National Trust properties.
We do not take children under the age of 8 nor do we take any pets except dogs that are officially registered as Special Assistance Dogs. The embankment from the garden to the high sea wall is unfenced and part of a special habitat much frequented by badgers,foxes and pygmy shrews, therefore Assistance dogs must be kept under strict control.

Penhayl is located right on the edge of the Hayle Estuary facing onto the Site of Special Scientific Interest and the RSPB Reserve. The large lounge has a complete view of the Lelant Water part of the estuary and reserve.
