Description:
The cottage has been sympathetically renovated and retains much of its original character. It is finished throughout to a very high standard to ensure that your stay is made as comfortable as possible. There are features throughout including slate flagstone floors, beamed ceilings and an eclectic collection of furniture and fittings.
ACCOMMODATION
The accommodation comprises a large entrance porch with a stable door and slate floor which leads to the main reception room. There is a spacious living room area complete with a log burner in a feature fireplace which is perfect for an evening of television watching or a board game with the children. Adjacent to the living room is a small snug for anyone wanting to relax and unwind with a book. This room also features a large original fireplace, open beams and a useful bed settee. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a range style cooker. From the main reception room open stairs lead to two bedrooms and a brand new bathroom. The larger of the bedrooms has a king-size bed, cathedral ceilings and original fireplace with TV and freeview. A smaller bedroom is located at the back of the cottage and has a single bed with the option of a trundle bed which is suitable for children. The modern bathroom has a roll top bath, shower and heated towel rail. There is also a 'pixie' door on this level that leads to an outside raised decking area and the back garden making it ideal for a morning coffee. The enclosed, raised garden can also be reached from the dining area through French doors. Traditional Cornish stone walling surrounds the small garden which includes an outdoor seating area and BBQ which makes this the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine on a summer evening. Central heating. Tidy pets welcome. Although we are child friendly, small children should not be left unsupervised in the garden.
Location:
Rose Cottage is a 300 year old building and is located right in the middle of Tintagel village and so is ideally placed for shops, pubs and restaurants. The cottage is also close to the coastpath, all the local surfing beaches, the 13th C church and the famous Tintagel castle.
